Well men get the most out of life and have more energy

Are you feeling run-down, irritable, and anxious? Are you off sex and generally desperate to get your ‘mojo’ back? If so, you could be suffering from a lack of testosterone - sometimes referred to as the male menopause or andropause.

You’re not alone. Men begin to suffer a steady decline in the hormone from the age of 30 and low testosterone can be potentially devastating to your relationship, career and long-term health.

Factors such as chronic stress are known to suppress production of the hormone, while men with low testosterone levels are more likely to suffer from diabetes, heart disease, mental health problems and obesity.

The good news is that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) could help.

Men taking TRT report greater sexual desire, improved ability to achieve and maintain erections and a feeling of vitality and vigour. The treatment also increases muscle mass and strength, cuts body fat and improves mood, thereby boosting self-esteem. In the long-term, TRT can also lead to an increase in bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures.

What’s included in our TRT screening procedure?

  • Two consultations, lasting a total of one and a half hours, with one of our experienced male doctors which includes:-

  • A full clinical history of the condition

  • A thorough medical examination including height and weight measurement and urinalysis

  • Investigations including full blood count, liver and kidney function, blood sugar, serum uric acid, serum proteins, bone metabolism, full lipid profile and hormone levels

  • Prostate screen

  • A discussion of appropriate treatment options

A preliminary half an hour consultation is also available to discuss your problem with a doctor.

Treatment can begin within a few days of your initial consultation.

You only need to visit us a few times a year to keep up with your treatment. We also offer you a yearly check-up.
